About TextileSeekers
TEXTILESEEKERS is a slow creative retreat company that educates visitors on the traditional textile practices of ethnic tribes in Vietnam and beyond to promote the cultural heritage surrounding them. TextileSeekers was founded by Thao Phuong, a fashion designer and consultant with a unique Vietnamese heritage and a passion for traditional textiles, female empowerment and sustainability in travel.
“I wanted to create something that would allow me to give back to these creative communities, to take what I have learnt in fashion and implement it in an ethical way that benefits these local tribes.”
With this in mind, TextileSeekers became a reality - a new type of travel company to connect the modern and ancient worlds. Supporting real people, practising traditional methods of textile making, our cultural tours link local artisans with responsible slow travellers who would directly support their community by giving back.
“For me, sustainability is living consciously making small contributions to how I leave my footprint on the world, whether it's recycling, buying locally, or buying second hand clothing and furniture. It is also important to be mindful and be in the present.”
